This October Enjoy Ellicottville's Beautiful Changing Landscape, The Return of a Fall Tradition and So Much More

The leaves are beginning to change, and the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce and Holiday Valley have lots of exciting fall activities planned to keep you busy. Of particular note is the return of a scaled down version of Fall Festival (October 9 and 10) with 20% fewer vendors and a family-friendly fundraiser replacing the carnival. Fall Fest fun continues at Holiday Valley with a variety of activities including Mardi Gras and Spruce Chairlift rides from 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Visitors can take in the view and bring a picnic lunch to the top of Morning Star or enjoy a cookout and beverages at the Holiday Valley Lodge base area.

Throughout the month, Holiday Valley is hosting a lineup of additional events including EA2EVL Fondo (October 2), an epic road ride from East Aurora to Ellicottville to bring awareness to the Erie/Cattaraugus Rail Trail; Fall Foliage Weekend Chairlift Rides (October 2-3; 9-10 and 16-17); and Fall Scramble Off Road Runs (October 9), 4- or 8-mile trail runs that start with a ride up the Spruce Lake chairlift. And finally on October 23 the action returns to the village of Ellicottville for the EVL Halloween Half Marathon and 5k, a fun-filled event that encourages runners of all abilities to participate.
