Owner Profile: Living the Dream
“We really like the fact that every unit at Glen Burn Trail is completely different with their own unique floorplan,” says Jeff, a Cleveland solicitor. “We felt it was such a refreshing change from living in a world of volume based builders and every home looks the same.”
Shelley, who is a marketing consultant, says one of the big selling points is the layout of their home, which features a ground floor den and a separate second floor kitchen and great room. “We each have our own space. So when we come back from the slopes the adults can relax upstairs and the kids can hang out in the den. I think if we were all bunched together in the same room all of the time, it just wouldn't work.”
In the spirit of sharing their home with family and friends, when the Johnsons were interviewed, they were hosting a party of 12. And they've actually furnished the home to accommodate as many as 14.
Another big selling point for the Johnsons was the fact that Ellicottville truly is a four-season destination. “We're so excited about trying all of the things there are to do here in the spring and summer,” says Shelley. “There are so many trails around for hiking and biking and we really want to try the Sky High Adventure Park (at Holiday Valley).”
